He Does Not Run

My dear
He will never run
Even though the darkest card has been drawn to the table
Even the coldest cut on my skin has turned into the scariest scar that is never pretty
He does not run
Instead he lends the smallest space to afford my short stay
And small of amount of time to be wasted for rants

But I am just nothing more than a mobile traveler
Whose heart wanders and deserts in some adventurelands
I prefer riding the stomach-churning, heart-wrenching, romantic fantasy rides of
Summer and Tom
Jesse and Celine
Ted and Robin

But my dear
The thought that he always has
Of I, who never lingers
Is wrong

Because I kiss my other one with doubts and eyes open
