Reminiscing an afterglow
Of what I call a daydream is
On a chill yet sunny morning
That we both parted as equal

I might have tried to shut me eyes in quiet
While his heartbeat was keeping me awake
When his breath motioned inside my skin
like a lullaby

We forgot how it tastes like
To depart from the same direction and
return safely to each others' homes
To sip the drunkenness of an early morn or
an evening that is rather too gold

So I chose to pretend falling into a deep rest
Ignored every else's presence but that only his exists
Silent, but to sleep next to him
 Until I woke up
As resurrected and divine
